Client: AGP Pratham
Industry: Oil & Gas
Equipment Focus: CNG Hydraulic Booster Compressors
AGP Pratham, a key player in the oil & gas sector, was facing persistent operational disruptions in their CNG hydraulic booster compressors, which are vital for CNG dispensing operations. The failures were affecting fuel supply timelines and system reliability, posing a direct risk to operational continuity.
MARP Engineers Pvt. Ltd. took up the challenge to restore efficiency and reliability to these critical systems. The first step involved conducting a detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to diagnose the underlying issues beyond surface-level symptoms.
Key findings from the analysis included:
Improper maintenance routines and reactive servicing
Negligence in following SOPs during daily operations and servicing
No scheduled inspection of wear-prone parts, leading to cumulative damage
Lack of documentation and maintenance logs for parts replaced or serviced
Failure to detect collateral damage caused by sequential part failures
Overall lack of accountability and proactive initiatives within the operations team
Based on these insights, the MARP Engineers team deployed a comprehensive plan to address both immediate failures and long-term vulnerabilities:
Implemented preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
Standardized service processes with SOP adherence and training
Carried out detailed part inspections and replaced worn components
Introduced record-keeping protocols for tracking maintenance history
Created a checklist to detect and mitigate secondary part damages
Provided operational insights to foster a culture of system care and foresight
The intervention significantly reduced downtime, enhanced system performance, and increased the lifecycle of the CNG booster compressors. Most importantly, AGP Pratham gained a sustainable maintenance system backed by trained personnel and clear accountability.
This project reflects MARP Engineers’ core value — engineering excellence through diagnostics, discipline, and delivery.
